Suzuki Bandit description

I have for sale a very rare, unmolested, 1991 Suzuki GSF400 Bandit.  It's rare for many reasons.
1st reason is it comes with the unobtanium factory bikini fairing and tail piece. 2nd reason is that is is blue. Most GSF400 bikes came in red.
The bike is almost factory-stock, except for the stainless steel brake cables, smoked turn signal
lenses, gold chain, and a louder horn. The stock turn signals and horn are included in the sale.

The performance of this 400 rocket is amazing and the handling is superb. I'm a former 250gp racer and I enjoy good handling bikes.
This one is very satisfying! The foot pegs are high and the bike is designed for smaller people.
It only weighs 365 lbs. (has Lithium battery) and puts out 59 horsepower. 4 cylinders, double overhead cams, water cooled, and 6 speeds.
Has fresh fluids and oil. Runs like a sewing machine on steroids! Top speed is around 116 mph.

The bike comes with the stock passenger seat, Owner's Manual, Service Manual and original Tool Kit.
It has a clear title and is registered until November 2016. Tires and brakes are in good condition and the bike starts right up without hesitation.
It has a small ding on the forward part of the gas tank (see photo) and a few smudges that have been repainted.

I'm an old codger (former MSF Chief Instructor) and this bike has been pampered and never dropped.

Sold as is, with no warranties expressed, or implied.

Buyer is required to pay a down payment with PayPal of $500.00 and the balance can be a Certified Cashier's Check
(the bike will not be released until it has completely cleared, which could take up to more than 10 days after its deposit).
Buyer is responsible for acquiring shipping and all its expenses.
I reserve the right to end the auction early due to the bike being for sale locally, if no bids.

Please email me if you have any questions and include a phone number.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.
