Royal Enfield Other description

I'm new to Ebay, and I listed this bike a couple of weeks ago, but ended the sale due to mistakes in the listing.  Anyway, here goes again!

I know little about these bikes, but I bought a storage unit full of stuff, and buried under cardboard boxes of miscellaneous stuff was this thing!  From my research I learned that this displacement is pretty rare in this country, but apparently it's considered more desirable than its 500cc brother- something to do with smoothness and sweetness, whatever that means.  The color is also rare in the U.S., it seems.  The odometer shows a little over 400 miles, so I guess it's barely broken in, and I did have it fired up for a few minutes a couple of weeks ago-  interesting sound this machine has!  I checked out what I could find out about the year of the bike, and the VIN appears to indicate that it was built in  a city that used to be called Madras, India, but the city's name was changed to Chennai in 1997, so it has to be a 1996 or older.  I have no paperwork on the machine, but I found some title services in Nevada that can issue a title on a vehicle older than 1998 for about 300 bucks, so getting a title wouldn't be an issue.

Anyway, it's a pretty motorcycle, very unusual, and I think someone could really enjoy it!  Good luck and happy bidding!

2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan First Ride Review

Fri, 09 Mar 2018

The Sherpa of things to come Royal Enfield designed and built this motorcycle in India, for Indians, a few years ago, with no plans really to export it. Why bother? India took over from China last year as the world’s biggest motorcycle market; Indians buy something like 48,000 motos a day (which probably includes lots of scooters and mopeds, but you get the picture – something like 17.7 million a year).

Polaris Industries reported a 110% increase in sales from its On-Road division over the second quarter of 2012. The acquisitions of the latter three brands contributed to nearly a third of the overall growth.
