50 year old motorcycle..1966 Sears Allstate 175 known as a "twingle" due to the unusual 2-stroke engine that features a twin piston configuration within a single cylinder. Made by Austrian motorcycle company Puch, these bikes were re-badged as an Allstate for sale by Sears. Bike runs and drives very well, and gearbox changes smoothly through all four gears. Has 16,500 miles on it. Top end of motor has been totally overhauled and refreshed, new piston ring and gaskets fitted, carb and all electrics overhauled. Brand new battery fitted. All lights and indicators work perfectly, it's a blast to ride. It's tagged and licensed for the road in New York. Parts are readily available but complete, running bikes are rare. There is plenty of pitted chrome and cosmetic surface rust..or patina, if you prefer....on many surfaces but nothing serious, with a little powder coating or painting this bike could be as good as new, check pics for reference. Could use new control cables, the originals work fine but need will need replacing as they are worn, and the carb is a non-original that has been adapted and would benefit with replacing even though it works well enough, it has an intermittent leak which I think is the float sticking. I'm moving back home to Australia and so all the toys I can't take with me have to go, locals are welcome to inspect before auction.
