I have, for sale, a pair of Peugeot 103 mopeds. These 2, in particular have been sitting in a private collection for many years and would be considered time capsules to those who knew these way back when. We used to rent similar mopeds and cruise around the lakes on my summer breaks as a kid. As seen by the condition, they are virtually brand new. One has 38 miles and the other 641 miles from new! Both bikes run on a pre-mixed cocktail of gasoline and 2 stroke oil. Both bikes fire very easily and run better than most would think. The brakes, and electrical systems are in working order and have seen no tampering or evidence of repairs. Every nut, bolt and fastener is original to each bike. The tires are the only parts that have been replaced at some point. The plated and painted parts are lustrous and bright. The zinc spokes and plating is doing its job after all of these years. As shown on 1 bike, the "high miler" there is a reflector missing from the bracket on the front fork. Aside from that, I don't know where you'd find a nicer or more original moped, or in this case, 2 in this condition. These will be sold as a pair and not broken up. Please look at the pictures closely and bid accordingly. I encourage pre purchase inspections from anyone wanting to take a closer look. I will require a non-refundable $200 deposit immediately after the auction ends using PayPal. The balance can be in cash, wire transfer, or cashier's check. The bikes will not leave until funds have cleared. I can store them for an agreed upon amount of time after they have been paid in full per the auction terms. I will help with shipping, but the arrangements and costs are up to the buyer. ***Please note*** Although the title is marked "clear", these bikes have never been registered since new. There are no titles to follow either bike. A bill of sale will be offered at delivery. |
