Brought to California after a death in the family.  Titled and registered in California, after finding how to locate a hidden engine number for our impossible DMV.  From photos, you see bike has been well maintained over the years, and what it sold for less than 3 years ago.  I've been riding since 1970 and find this BMW 1200 to be just as smooth and powerful as any of my other sport bikes (1100 Yamaha's and Honda's and one 1200 Harley Sportster).  But, it's too tall for me.  My loss. I recently sold another bike to a buyer (see my comments) and offered to deliver it to him for a price, which he accepted after dealing with motorcycle shipping services.  In the photos you'll see the red BMW on a flatbed trailer.  I could also use it to deliver it to you, as I used it to bring it home here, from the Midwest.  My price is simple, IRS mileage one-way with a minimum $200.  Or, you could come pick it up in person and ride it home, from San Diego.  Or arrange for a pickup here.  You could even buy the trailer from me ($650. The trailer is licensed and titled in California).

for sale is my 05 bmw. I had intended keeping this bike but as I have 3 ,one has to go. all is pretty much stock with the exception of the bags which were switched from bmw stock to givi trekker bags.these bags are NOT included in the sale.

 I bought this bike with 11k on it back in 2010, most all of the miles are on road freeway miles, it runs great, no oil burn, fresh valve adjustment, BMW just did a service update free and replaced the fuel pump, it pulls very strong, Custom Paint (matte anthracite grey), new wheel bearings in front, freshly tuned and balanced wheel by Woodys wheel works in CO. Have rebuild-able Wilbur shocks both front and rear on it, pivot pegz, new tires, throttle lock cruise control and mechanically works great. The brake warning light that has been on for over a year with no problem to the braking or operation of the bike, the BMW service tech just said it seems to be a wire possibly cracked as upon test is shows the ignition key security ring as the test fault.

2005 BMW R1200GS I bought this bike in 2011 with only 300 miles on it.  As you can tell the bike has not been ridden very much since the time I bought it.  This bike itself is in near new condition.  I put many extras on this bike! 2005 BMW R1200 GS with 27,000 miles.  I have owned this bike for approximately 6 years and I have put 10,000 miles on it.  I purchased the bike in 2009 from a Delta Airlines pilot who had owned it since new and maintained the bike perfectly.  I now own 3 BMW motorcycles and can only ride one at a time, so I am selling this bike.  All fluids were replaced two months ago and I just replaced the battery also.  The bike has newer tires with less than 2,000 miles of light use.  Bike has never been down.  The bike's computer acted up 2 years ago and BMW replaced the computer and installed the most current software.  The bike pulls hard and has impeccable balance and is effortlessly maneuverable.  No wonder it BMW's best selling model. 2005 BMW R 1200 RT, Very Clean three owner touring BMW in one of the best colors you could ask for, dark  gray metallic. Sold new from Bob's BMW in Maryland, and first delivered in April 2005, it had almost no issues during or after factory warranty period that Bob's could document.  Bob's serviced this bike initially and then consistently since 2009 as the original owner moved back out and then back into the area. This bike was placed in the highly capable and respected hands of the Certified BMW Technicians at Bob's for a complete going over and it arrived with a full service including the annual being performed and new tires just under 2,000 miles earlier this summer.

BMW 2005 R1200 ST in Piedmont Red and Magnesium. 26,000 Miles. The dual spark, fuel injected, mapping technology in this air/oil cooled 1200cc Boxer Twin provides 110 HP to a 6 speed transmission and the shaft drive then delivers 115 Nm of torque to the rear wheel.

I am the second owner purchased through a 3rd party after first owner put the bike down.  Nose panel, right side logo panel, mirror and side case were replaced.  Also swapped out the following parts from a 2006 bike with 24000 miles to upgrade existing:  rotors, final drive, ESA shock.  Cases have some scratches as does the right valve cover.  Locks do not match on cases but can be rekeyed.  Cruise control switch does not work but cruise is on and works as should.  Otherwise, bike has been very well maintained.  I drove last year for 3000 miles with absolutely no problems.  Added Sargent Seat and bar risers.  Seats are heated but I have not hooked up as they did not come with factory plug.  Only able to put a couple hundred miles on this year and daughter in college so need to sell.  Great chance to get a very good bike at a reasonable price.  I have no reservations about this bike and wish I didn't have to sell.  Good luck and thanks for looking!

Up for sale is my babied 1200rt. This bike has been taken on 25 mile ride to work and back the last few years thats about it.I am not using it for what is what meant for (long rides) so time to let her go.Bike has always been garaged or covered with geza stretch cover. Amsoil synthetic oil has been changed yearly,between 3 and 4 k coming out looking brand new.Valve adjusts have been done on time.Gear oil changed every time i got a new rear tire.Onto the upgrades,black powder coated wheels( makes cleaning a breeze),header pipe jet hot coated black ( no blueing ) going out to a Leo Vince carbon fiber exhaust(not to loud and takes away sewing machine sound!).

Low miles 05 BMW R 1200 GS, ABS, Low BMW seat, Drive Shaft was serviced by MAX BMW at 20K! Speedo was replaced at 20K as well so it reads 10,748. All services were done at MAX BMW and BMW of Cambridge (Boston); bike has some scratches as you can see on the pix but mechanically is in great condition; been used on and off road 50/50; i used to have TKC 80 on it but this season it has a stock tire since March.

This bike is relisted do to the buyer not been able to complete the transaction. '05 R1200GS. This is a rare non ABS model, which means, no servo assist brakes or ABS unit going out. This a very nice bike that was ridden by an older rider and has never been off-road. It has always been serviced at the dealer at the required service intervals and currently only has a few hundred miles since the last service was completed. I had both tires replaced and a new battery installed during the last service as well.

                      Excellent RT at a great price. Low miles (5800) with the 6000 mile servicing just completed which included all fluids changed including the brake fluid being flushed and replaced. This bike is fully loaded with onboard computer, ABS, ESA (electron suspension), cruise control, radio CD player, heated seat and grips, low profile seat, power windshield, chrome exhaust, GIVI top box, intercom, and 3M paint protection, alarm. This bike only has 5800 miles because business doesn't give me time to use it.

This bike is in excellent condition and ready to ride anywhere.  I purchased the bike 3 years ago and at that time it had 6,000 miles on it.  The oil has been changed every 3,000 miles and the 6,000 mile and 12,000 mile service has been done as well.

  2005 BMW RT-1200 With Hannigan Sidecar. Added a "steer-light" type trail reducer & steering damper (pictures 7 & 8)[$800 plus $600 for installation at Bob's BMW]  -this is like power steering for a sidecar rig and makes the ride effortless. Sidecar tilt can be adjusted "on the fly" with electronic motor.  (Helps you adjust the bike to the riding situation/road condition) Sidecar comes with "convertible" cover for use when there is a passenger, and a separate wind-cover for when no one is in the sidecar.

Low miles ~28k and is in excellent condition.  If you're looking for a bike that can do it all this is it. Perfect Bugout bike for the Zombie apocolypse. My wife is due with our first baby in the next 2 weeks so I would like to sell by then.
