The one you've been looking for, waiting for, hoping to find.  Extremely rare.  Amazingly beautiful and unique.  If you know this bike, you know it was made only one year.  Bikes from the years before and after had different, non-interchangeable engines.  It comes with the matching Sparkling America "boat tail" tail section in addition to the stock seat, the deluxe white seat and the custom solo seat (see photos).   It also comes with a super-rare larger gas tank (also in Sparkling America livery) in  addition to the standard gas tank (see photos).  Also included are the original optional aluminum rims and Goodyear tires (see photos).  The original shock absorbers and carburetor are also part of the sale (again, see photos).  Sale includes the original owners manual, framed dealer posters, original matching Harley helmet and sales brochure.  You will never find another complete collection like this.

 This 1971 Harley Davidson Sportster 900 XLCH with 12,951 miles was purchased in 1982 and totally rebuilt in 1983. Vin # is 4A series. Only original parts used on the rebuild except the rear fender side reflectors were fabricated.

1971 XLCH, kick start only Sportster, supposedly it was originally modified by Smith and Fetro, it is an original S&F girder, I have most parts needed to finish it, mileage is unknown, but it is in good condition.  it is sitting on a pallet in a Motorcycle shop west of the Minneapolis metro area, I do have clear title in hand and need to move it... 1974 and earlier Sportster's had Right hand shift.  Was a project that I started but have not been able to complete... not a Yuppie bike, this is an ORIGINAL not old school bike..  Need to move it as my storage area is not going to be available much longer and I want to buy a bike to ride.  Buyer is responsible for pick up, or arranging a freight/shipping company, fork lift is available to load and can be left on the pallet.  Happy Bidding!
