Up for sale is my 1982 Maico 490 Alpha Control.  The history I know is the bike was purchased new in PA with the original owner keeping it for two years.  The second owner, a resident of Ohio, kept it 32 years and passed away in 2003.  At that point his son took ownership.  Over the last few years, the son put a little time and money into this low hour bike.  The suspension was redone by SoCal Maico in 2015 (I have the receipts). He also put on new tires and replaced the plastic - the original plastic is in excellent shape - just faded - and comes with the bike.  Three manuals also come with the bike.  The bike will absolutely wow you when seen in person.  The pictures don't do it justice.  It retains the original seat that is beautiful, the frame has the original paint, and the motor; I was told, is on the original bore.  The son of the second owner told me he only remembered his dad riding the bike one time. The son was afraid of the power of the bike so he never rode it.  It came for sale over the summer and that is when I contacted the owner and ended up buying it.  Upon getting it home, I decided to mix some fuel and ride it.  The bike idled, stopped and shifted like new.  An amazing piece of machinery!  It runs as good as it looks.
