Other Electric Ninja description
Electric conversion. Originally a 1990 Kawasaki 750 Ninja converted to zero emissions 66 volt plug in system with top speed of 65 MPH and range up to 60 miles depending on speed and conditions, including temperature. System includes 20 Thundersky 60 AH cells, Allltrax 7734 controller, Zivan NG1 charger and BCO balancing charger, Perm 132 DC motor, and cycle analyst. The conversion was done in 2008 and I have logged around 7,000 miles since then. The batteries are six years old so they may need replaced soon. Cost to replace is around 1,800.00. The original cost of conversion was about 7,000.00 and a few hundred man hours. If you were going to do your own conversion the components alone would run you about $3,000.00 without the batteries and donor bike, labor etc. I do not recommend bidding if you are not the kind of person who does not like to tinker as this is a conversion and as such has no manual to speak of. I do have a rough circuit diagram. You will also need a thorough understanding of electrical and battery technology. Also, don't recommend bidding if you live in a rainy climate. I live in an area where we get about 182 sunny days in a row.
