This bike was on display at a local museum for years until recently after it was cleaned out. This is a Chinese reproduction of a Jawa 250 that I believe to be a 1969 Xingfu XF250. The bike has not been started in years and has rust in the gas tank.

Adult owned, not abused, or beat up, garage kept pleasure driver.  Its been a lot of fun but its time to pass it on to the next scooter enthusiast.  I made some upgrades including aftermarket muffler and wrapped header pipe,  hotter coil and spark plug. race ecu,  Kevlar belt.  I have a box of extra goodies that goes with the scooter. I had this bike custom built and waited several years for this.   By the time I received it I was no longer spending much time in the USA where the bike is.  ie: I have never even ridden it more than around the block.  As such, I am selling this and 5 other special motorcycles this spring. This bike was discovered in Egypt in 2005. Sunbeam motorcycles of this era were used by the British military as part of the contingent that secured the railway in Damascus during the Palestine Revolt in the mid '30s. I have been told that the oil pump and lack of speedometer (front hub is not machined to accept the speedo drive) are unusual for the model, and may be attributed to military specification that precluded what were otherwise standard offerings for that time period.  When it was unearthed in a dusty warehouse, it hadn't been seen in decades, and the original girder front forks were long gone- having been appropriated for a BSA M20.
