For consideration is a 1956 (titled) ZUNDAPP KS 601 with the S stamped engine (sport). This machine is 98% complete and correct. The bike has been sitting for years and would make a great survivor bike saving the expense and time of a restoration. Some bikes, although not showroom, deserve to be left the way they are with their age and patina showing and this bike may be just that.
The heads were removed when i bought it but i have some (didn't come with them tho) and i believe there's a spare head too along with exrta rockers i bought. The cylinders numbers match the bike as they are correct. I have too many projects, including another 1957 KS 601 sport , and am willing to let someone else enjoy this machine. The S stamped engines are said to be higher performing due to a lumpier cam and maybe bigger carbs and could out run an r69 BMW !! The bike can be stored here until mid-ohio or wauseon if need be.
