1969 Chang Jiang 750 M1. 746cc sidevalve engine.
22 HP. 6volt. Literally like new. 20 kilometers.The bike is titled in
Michigan. I have all the original sale/purchase/import documents. Bike runs,
comes with extra drive wheel for sidecar use. Crude construction but very
original condition, some spares included. Spares include, one cylinder, valves,
ignition components. Have side stand installed, center stand included but not
fit to bike yet. History of CJ 750 (Chang Jiang - 750): The CJ
story began in prewar Germany where BMW was building the last of its sidevalve
bikes, the BMW R71. Prior to the German invasion, the Soviets were already
building copies of the BMW R71, initially called the M71 and later the M72.
Following the invasion, production was shifted from Moscow to Irbit in the Ural
mountains where thousands were produced during and after the war. With
technical support from the USSR, CJ 750 production commenced in Nanchang in the
late fifties. The CJ 750 M1 is a copy of the original M72 right down to the 6V
electrical system and other features. |
