Bike is in good shape for its age. New paint, custom lettering about 5yrs ago. New seat cover, exhaust pipes, narrow handle bars, Boyer ignition. Fairing came off a BMW R90S and is easily removed (no holes were drilled for the install). Bike has 14933 original miles on it, engine is all original with exception of Boyer ignition. Engine starts on 1st or 2nd kick. Engine does leak a little oil (it is a Norton). Transmission works flawlessly, new clutch plates installed about 500mis ago. All in all a great bike.

The new headquarters of Norton Motorcycles has officially opened

The British motorcycle manufacturer announced the opening of the plant in Solihull and the readiness to produce up to 8,000 motorcycles per year. Not only production is located at the new location: from now on, the R&D department, the design center, and offices are based in Solihull. Moreover, it will also have its own showroom, a small museum and even a motorcycle service center.

Norton Signs Cameron Donald to Race Isle of Man TT

Norton Motorcycles has signed two-time TT winner Cameron Donald to a three-year contract to race in the Isle of Man TT. Donald will ride the Norton SG3 sportbike in the Dainese Superbike and PokerStars Senior TT classes, starting both races seeded 19th. That matches the number of the late Steve Hislop, the last Norton rider to win on the Isle of Man with a victory in the 1992 Senior TT race.

Norton Motorcycles Purchases Donington Hall Estate, Moves From the Race Track to the Manor

Norton Motorcycles has acquired the Donington Hall estate in the U.K., including its 25 acres of land from airline company British Airways. The property also includes the 45,000 square foot Hastings House facility will become Norton’s new production facility and design studio. Until now, Norton has been operating out of the Donington Park circuit, which was formerly part of the Donington Hall estate.
