Moto Guzzi V7 Sport description
Up for sale is a numbers matching 1973 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport with 36,244 miles. The build date is Dec 1972, its a Series 2 with "4" stamped on transmission. The gear shift lever is on the right side and the front brake is twin shoe drum, so it is a very early V7 Sport. VIN # VK32365. The paint on the tank, tool boxes, and frame is original. Rubber grips, foot rests and chrome plating are original. Also comes with original cloth bag tool kit with tools and owners manual. The only non original parts are recovered seat, Valeo starter, horns, electronic ignition and K&N filters replacing the filter box. There is small weld on the frame. The bike has always been garaged and it shows in the appearance. All electronics are in working order. Recently replaced battery. The bike is located in San Mateo, CA with a clean title, current CA registration and can be viewed in person. I am the third owner as of 31,274 miles. The second owner purchased the bike almost new, so it is essentially a two owner bike. Garage kept by me and the previous owner. Because of the pandemic, however, the Piaggio-owned brand had to postpone its Moto Guzzi World Days 2021 Festival to 2022, celebrating its centennial on what would actually be its 101st year. Nevertheless, Moto Guzzi proceeded to announce what would have been the highlight of the festival: a new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello model and plans to build a new futuristic factory on its historic home in Mandello del Lario, Italy.
Piaggio Multimedia Platform iPhone Connectivity Announced for Piaggio X10 Maxi-Scooter
Thu, 05 Jul 2012Piaggio announced a new iPhone connectivity system set to debut on its new X10 maxi-scooter. The Piaggio Multimedia Platform (PMP) will be available as a kit for the 125cc, 350cc and 500cc versions of the Piaggio X10, and eventually may be introduced to other models in the Piaggio Group (which would include the brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa.) Designed by Re:Lab, the PMP system turns an iPhone into an onboard computer and secondary display. The kit mounts the iPhone over the Piaggio insignia on the center of the X10′s handlebar which, from the rider’s perspective, puts it just below the scooter’s standard instruments.
