2006 Moto Guzzi Breva V 1100, There's a southerly wind blowing... next stop Lake Como!Moto Guzzi's big Breva is a bike that manages to blend a traditional layout and character with style, comfort and performance to create the factory's best and most advanced roadster yet. Guzzi's age-old, 1064cc 90-degree air-cooled engine format is retained in the big Breva, complete with pushrods and two valves per cylinder. There's a new six-speed gearbox routing power to a drive-shaft that runs inside the single-sided aluminum swingarm in a new drive system designed to increase rigidity and eliminate shaft-induced suspension movement. The Breva loves to change direction and is uncannily easy to turn, with a sharp turning radius and steering that feels much lighter than it has a right to. This Breva 1100 recently had a major service so it is ready for the open road. There are a few scuffs and scrapes (shown in photos) in keeping with a bike with 20K miles. Because of the pandemic, however, the Piaggio-owned brand had to postpone its Moto Guzzi World Days 2021 Festival to 2022, celebrating its centennial on what would actually be its 101st year. Nevertheless, Moto Guzzi proceeded to announce what would have been the highlight of the festival: a new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello model and plans to build a new futuristic factory on its historic home in Mandello del Lario, Italy.

The 2019 Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Sport adds Öhlins rear shocks, a single seat, lower drag bars and a sportier riding position than the regular V9 Bobber. This overlay of the two models illustrates the key differences between the two models: The footpegs are further back and slightly higher for a sportier riding position, but not aggressively so.
