Moto Guzzi Other description

I have a 1980 Moto Guzzi V50 II 500cc motorcycle in superb condition all original. Stored in a heated garage. It only have 12,520mis on it, and it runs and drives 100%. The front fender has a small repair on it, and the paint could be touched up on the edges of the side covers. It also needs the start relay to be cleaned or changed. Plus it could use an oil change and a battery charge.I was watching Cafe Racer on television once and Billy Joel said he was looking for this exact bike for his collection, so Billy if your reading this, I got your bike right here. We’ve seen photographs of the new California in prototype form from Piaggio‘s North American dealer meeting, but we’ve now come across a picture of what looks like the final production version in full touring trim. The picture,  appears to have been leaked from an official catalog photoshoot, shows the new Moto Guzzi California 1400 with hard bags, engine bars, extra lighting and windscreen.

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Not to be left out of the 2013 EICMA show announcements, Moto Guzzi has announced its changes for the three models that make up the V7 line. Known for their 1970s-inspired style, the V7s are built, according to Moto Guzzi press materials, “to three fundamental pillars: the 90° transverse V-twin, the timeless double cradle frame and the renowned cardan shaft final drive.” Well, one of these pillars gets a functional update for 2014. The engine now utilizes a wet flywheel instead of the previous dry alternator.

Ask not why MO‘s review of an Italian bike called “California” comes from a correspondent in Barcelona, ask what you can do for MO. The first California, c. 1971, was designed with input from the Los Angeles PD, and sported a bulletproof windshield as part of its law enforcement equipment.
