One of a kind, It starts as a 1978 KZ650 where the cylinders have been bored and sleeved to 830cc with a MTC big bore kit from the late 70s. The upper case has been machined as well to fit the new cyl sleeves This was a complete case split rebuilt documented with pictureS The turbo kit is from ATP American Turbo Pak (ATP branded intake manifold, turbocharger RayJay F40 and exhaust manifold and pipe), just like the one that equipped the Kawasaki Z1R-TC back in 1978-79 where only 500 were made, they currently retail between 23/26,000$ Needless to say these vintage big bore kits and ATP turbo kit are extremely rare to find, especially for this particular bike, in fact this is the only KZ650, Big bored and turbocharged i've seen in the last few years (with period correct parts) MR.turbo.com sells a newer version of this turbo kit for 4,000$ (without installation, tuning and the big bore kit) The only one in this configuration 1/1 Some of the mods include but not limited to: Dyna-s electronic ignition Martek ignition coils Metzler Lasertec tires Forks with stiffer springs Drilled front rotor Rebuilt starter clutch Battery Tender lithium battery "Car like" ignition switch Painted long bucket headlight and bracket New gold chain LED tail, stop and blinkers Custom rear fender Clip ons Minimalistic controls New master cylinder , brake hose and clutch lever assembly New Kawasaki tank emblems New Custom Wiring harness Custom Seat and seat pan (which opens up with the OEM key just like the original one, so you can store your docs or do maintenance to the battery and components) Black enamel painted frame Custom Paint job and pin striping by Rare Air Werx Chrome is original (8/10) Makes a blasting 100whp at 10psi, currently set at a conservative 5psi The original 650cc motor set up had half of this power at the wheel This bike has been featured on the most influential social network and online magazines like: Bike Exif BikeBound Cafe' Racer TV The Bike Shed The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show The Revival of the Machine Uncommon Motors and many others...

2017 Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Flying Fortress First Ride Review
Mon, 08 Aug 2016An Italian interpretation of the American bagger Credit: Photos by Kevin Wing and Evans Brasfield Way back in 2013, Moto Guzzi said that the revamped California 1400 was the platform for a line of models, and we watched it grow from the initial pair of the California 1400 Custom and the hard-bagged California 1400 Touring to include in the 2016 model year the Audace and the El Dorado – though both fail to mention their California roots in their names. Into this family, Moto Guzzi lands the formidable MGX-21 Flying Fortress. 2017 Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Flying Fortress Editor Score: 84.25% Engine 17.25/20 Suspension/Handling 11.5/15 Transmission/Clutch 8.25/10 Brakes 9.0/10 Instruments/Controls 4.25/5 Ergonomics/Comfort 8.0/10 Appearance/Quality 9.0/10 Desirability 9.0/10 Value 8.0/10 Overall Score 84.25/100 2013 Moto Guzzi California Review: Emissary Of The New Guzzi – Video 2015 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring – First Ride Review + Video 2016 Moto Guzzi Audace – First Ride Review 2016 Moto Guzzi Eldorado – First Ride Review 2014 EICMA: Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Concept Since the American cruiser market is the largest in the world and Sturgis is one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world, setting an attendance record of 739,000 last year on its 75th anniversary, Moto Guzzi has waded into the belly of the beast by releasing the MGX at a booth on Main St.
EICMA 2013: Moto Guzzi V7 Series Updates
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Not to be left out of the 2013 EICMA show announcements, Moto Guzzi has announced its changes for the three models that make up the V7 line. Known for their 1970s-inspired style, the V7s are built, according to Moto Guzzi press materials, “to three fundamental pillars: the 90° transverse V-twin, the timeless double cradle frame and the renowned cardan shaft final drive.” Well, one of these pillars gets a functional update for 2014. The engine now utilizes a wet flywheel instead of the previous dry alternator.
