Moto Guzzi Convert description

1978 Moto Guzzi Convert, 33,7XX mi. Looks good, sounds good, and runs strong. These bikes are fluid drive, which means you don’t have to shift gears—that makes slow speed handling much easier. Converts are also great if you have difficulty shifting due to arthritis, bad knees, etc. Rebuilt heads. Paint is in very good shape. New front master cylinder and rebuilt rear master cylinder. Braided brake lines. Replaced transmission hoses. LED instrument lights (the oem ones are very dim). Custom bracket for the rear turn signals. Lester wheels. Luggage rack with a Pelican case. New starter/kill switch. New mirrors. Flipper chokes (enricheners). Plexifairing GT windscreen. Seat has been re-covered. Tires are good. Dunstall replica silencers with good header pipes and a decent x-over. Center stand. Everything works except the flash-to-pass circuit. Clean NM title. Bike is in Santa Fe, NM. May deliver few hundred miles if I can get a ride home.

Will help with shipping on my end, but local pickup is okay, too--you could fly and ride.

NOW NO RESERVE!!!

Piaggio Announces 2011-2014 Business Plan – More Hybrids and Electric Models In the Pipeline

Wed, 14 Dec 2011

The Piaggio Group revealed its business plans for the next three years with a focus on developing fuel efficient engines and introducing new electric motors and hybrid powertrains. Beginning in 2012, Piaggio plans to introduce a new generation of engines with lower emissions and improved fuel economy. Examples include the new 350cc engine introduced in the Piaggio Beverly SportTouring and the fuel-injected 125cc four-stroke, three-valve engine equipped in the Vespa Quarantasei concept (which the company has apparently, and quietly, renamed as the much easier-to-pronounce Vespa 946).

Three-Time World Champion Wayne Rainey Honored At Quail Motorcycle Gathering

Thu, 09 May 2013

Saturday, May 4 marked the 5th annual Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel, California. With such a diverse collection of historical, rare and outrageous motorcycles, the Quail is an event we thoroughly enjoyed attending last year. To commemorate the occasion, this year’s guest of honor was none other than three-time 500cc Grand Prix world champion, and local area resident, Wayne Rainey.
