2014 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Custom and Touring Arrive at US Dealerships April 15
Wed, 10 Apr 2013Moto Guzzi announced the all new California 1400 Custom and Touring models will land at American dealerships on April 15. The 2014 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring will be priced at $17,990 while the Custom version will be available for $14,990. The two new models form the centerpiece for the Piaggio Group‘s efforts to reinvigorate the Moto Guzzi brand.
EICMA 2013: Moto Guzzi V7 Series Updates
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Not to be left out of the 2013 EICMA show announcements, Moto Guzzi has announced its changes for the three models that make up the V7 line. Known for their 1970s-inspired style, the V7s are built, according to Moto Guzzi press materials, “to three fundamental pillars: the 90° transverse V-twin, the timeless double cradle frame and the renowned cardan shaft final drive.” Well, one of these pillars gets a functional update for 2014. The engine now utilizes a wet flywheel instead of the previous dry alternator.

Based on the comments in our EICMA show coverage, the V85 concept was very well received by MO readers. If you’re one of those who liked the concept, you’ll be happy to learn that Piaggio has filed a design patent for what looks to be the final production model, and it does not stray too far from the original concept.
