Moto Guzzi Ambassador description

It's time for my Ambassador to find a new home. I have 8 other Guzzis and I need to pare down the fleet. There's not enough time to put them all through their paces and it's a shame to have it sit in the garage when it should be ridden. This Guzzi runs great, it runs as good or better than my later fuel injected bikes. Hit the starter button and it fires right up and settles into a nice smooth idle. This bike needs nothing mechanically with the exception of the suspension. It's perfectly ride able as is but could use the shocks and forks rebuilt. The shocks are the original Lims. Cosmetically, the chrome on the exhaust and crashbars is pitted and dull. The bike retains all of it's original sheet metal with it's original paint. There are various dents and dings and places where the paint is thin. The chrome on the tank is very nice. The battery covers have both their pegs, they are not rusted or broken off like a lot of them I see. This is not a restored show bike, it is an original 25K mile Guzzi that has been unaltered. Very hard to find these days. It is very presentable as is but a couple of hours detailing it would make it shine. Things like the engine and trans could use a good deep cleaning. It has it's original shock absorbers, switchgear, hand grips, number matching motor, grab handles, seat etc. It was ridden about 75 miles in the last week with no issues.

It has a one piece front brake cable so the switch is not working. The brake light works with the foot brake only. I have a new two piece cable with the switch, I just need to find it. If I can I will send it with the bike. The fork lock and tool boxes locks work fine, no lost key. It even has original Magneti Marelli keys. There was a state inspection sticker on the left side fork cover that I should have left alone. I took it off and the area underneath it has some paint loss. The tires have lots of tread on them but are getting old. I am not sure how old they are but I would look to replace them fairly soon just to be safe. I've had the bike about 8 years and have not replaced them.
Within reason, I'll help however I can but shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

2019 Moto Guzzi V85 TT is Officially Official

Mon, 05 Nov 2018

Wow, I think we like this one. “The fundamental concepts at the heart of the V85 TT project are simplicity, ease and practicality, values typical of those ’80s enduro bikes that could be used for anything, from the daily commute to adventurous trips, yet also values that are gradually getting lost in an increasingly homologated market, where ranges favor significant size and weight,” reads one small part of Moto Guzzi’s 4,000-word press release announcing the V85 TT. The main items are that the new 853cc air-cooled 90-degree two-valver – the “eight and a half” – delivers maximum power of 80 horses and 80 Nm at 5,000 rpm, with 90% of said torque available at 3,750 rpm.

A stylish entry into the bagger market
The Moto Guzzi MGX 21, aka the Flying Fortress. Moto Guzzi’s take on the American bagger, the MGX is a stylish design exercise powered by a 1380cc transverse V-Twin pumping out 95 horsepower and nearly 90 lb-ft of torque. It’s a high-revving cruiser, which in itself isn’t something you normally say about cruisers.
The MGX–21 Flying Fortress is Moto Guzzi’s fourth variation on the California 1400 platform.
