2014 MV Agusta Brutale 800 Dragster Teaser Photos

The first image of the 2014 MV Agusta Brutale 800 Dragster have emerged online, offering a glimpse of what is expected to be MV’s mid-sized answer to the Ducati Diavel. The Dragster will be the latest model to use MV Agusta’s three-cylinder engine, following the Brutale 800, F3 800, Rivale and Turismo Veloce. We’ve known since last summer that the Brutale 800 Dragster was coming, thanks to its appearance in certification documents from the California Air Resources Board and the U.S.

2014 MV Agusta 3-Cylinder Models Now Feature ABS

Better late than never, as the saying goes: MV Agusta will be equipping 2014 three-cylinder models —  the Brutale 675 and 800, the F3 675 and 800 and the Rivale 800 — with dual-function ABS featuring Normal and Race Mode. These models will come equipped with an internal pressure sensor and independent wheel sensors on each axle, all controlled by the small and lightweight Bosch 9MP ABS control unit. The ABS was specifically developed to provide safer, more effective deceleration on all road surfaces without compromising either the power or the progressiveness of the system and with the clear aim of obtaining the shortest possible braking distances.

MV Agusta’s Giovanni Castiglioni sent out the following open letter, speaking of his father, the late Claudio Castiglioni, and his battle against illness, as well as how the company will continue along the path Claudio had set. I am writing you this letter to personally thank you for the outpouring of affection that you have demonstrated both towards my father and our family.
