MV Agusta To Manufacture Racing Parts With Help From Yakhnich Motorsport

MV Agusta released a rather odd statement today. In it was the announcement that MV Agusta and Yakhnich Motorsport had joined forces to enter the World Superbike and World Supersport championships. FIM Eases WSBK Homologation Requirements

With the 2014 World Superbike Championship now under way, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) announced a change in the homologation procedure for new motorcycles entering the series. The new regulations requires a minimum of 125 units produced in order to begin the homologation process. By the end of the first year of participation, manufacturers must have produced 250 units.

MV Agusta Brutale California with … um … Wood Vibrations

MV Agusta has revealed a new one-off special edition model by Italian architect and designer Simone D’Auria called the Brutale California. Based on a 2012 MV Agusta Brutale 1090 R, the California model is clad in carbon fiber with D’Auria’s signature timber-inspired wood pattern, a style he calls “Wood Vibrations“. This isn’t the first time D’Auria has designed a wood-inspired carbon-fiber Brutale California for MV Agusta.
