1969 Honda CL (1969)
Get ready to turn heads when you ride this bike around -- you'll get asked about this Scrambler all the time when out riding it. The '69 K1 Scrambler had a couple of features that were exclusive to that year, including a squared exhaust, "extra spoke" wheels, and the reflector on the front fender (surprisingly hard to find these!). This bike was found in a garage a few years back in a disassembled state (parts were in boxes).2016-07-31 04:45:24El Segundo, California, United States104,800.00 -

1972 HONDA CL450 ScramblerAll Original The CL450 Scrambler hardly needs an introduction. If you are reading this ad, then you likely know the history of these bikes. Following the immediate success of Honda's CL72 250cc Scrambler and the famous Dave Ekins/Bill Robertson Tijuana to La Paz ride in March of 1962 on 250 Scramblers, Honda decided to increase the engine size in increments from 250 to 305, and finally using the DOHC engine of the original Black Bomber, to 450cc.2016-06-29 04:45:12Costa Mesa, California, United States16700 -

100% custom Honda CL450 adventure bike by Lossa Engineering, Ammo cans w/ solar (1970)
I haven’t built a bike for myself in over 3 years. So after a horrible 2012 getting cancer again, doing chemotherapy, full body radiation and having a bone marrow transplant. I was aching to build something I have thought about for years and use the build as therapy while I was recovering to get back into the swing of things. Everyone knows me for building cafe bikes, well, I actually build motorcycles, any brand any model as long as they are from the 60’s or 70’s. I wanted to build something I could take off-road or jump off a curb and actually carry stuff with me when I ride. I bought the donor bike a few years ago and it was soo clean I was unsure if I wanted to even modify it. But being someone who can never leave good enough or perfect alone, I had to take it to the extreme. I was collecting many parts for the build over the next few years while it was just sat upstairs in my personal work area. I did a little mock up here and there over the years to dial in some of the parts I wanted to use. Then I started to spend every saturday just working on the fabrication. I basically had to assemble and build the whole bike as it was going to be finished before it was taken apart for all the plating and coatings. The 40 cal. ammo cans were custom mounted with 70’s Hondaline saddle bag mounts that I chopped up so they would come off and on easy. The exhaust had to mount under the left side ammo can and the rear suspension was a lot taller so custom gearing and clearance for the chain was needed. Every nut and bolt that I was using had to be accounted for and all the chrome had to be stripped before the zinc plating. After mock up everything went out to powder coating, yellow zinc plating, anodizing and paint. The ammo cans house solar panels from Goal Zero, they charge a flashlight and speakers form Goal Zero too and they charge my iPhone while I ride. They will charge anything with a USB port. The tail light is a model A reproduction from Lick’s cycle that I bought over 5 years ago and it pretty much sums up my 2012 year and how I felt against the world! Kymco DTX 125: another adventure scooter will appear in Europe
Fri, 24 Sep 2021Almost a year ago, Kymco presented its first DTX 360 crossover scooter, and just the other day it became known that Kymco introduced its younger brother DTX 125, which is declared as a 2022 model in Europe. it is equipped with a 125 cc liquid-cooled engine that develops a maximum power of 13 hp at 8750 rpm. The decrease in cubic capacity also affected the mass of the device: the DTX 125 "lost" to 176 kg.
Church of MO: 2010 Kymco Scooter Lineup Intro
Sun, 13 Sep 2020Has anyone seen a new Kymco lately? The giant Taiwanese manufacturer claimed to be the world’s largest scooter manufacturer once upon a time. Maybe it still is.
Kymco SuperNEX Concept Unveiled at EICMA
Thu, 08 Nov 2018Kymco has carved out a niche producing scooters and small-displacement motorcycles like the K-Pipe 125, but the Taiwanese manufacturer now wants to reshape how we think about electric motorcycles. Debuting at EICMA, the Kymco SuperNEX concept looks to address some of issues consumers have about electric two-wheelers. While designing the SuperNEX, Kymco looked some of the qualities people enjoy about riding motorcycles that are lacking in most electric two-wheelers currently on the market.
Kymco Ionex Electric Scooter Platform Announced
Thu, 22 Mar 2018Kymco announced a new swappable battery system and electric charging architecture that will be used for ten electric scooters to be launched over the next three years. The first model, the Many EV, was presented along with Kymco’s Ionex electric scooter architecture at the 2018 Tokyo Motorcycle Show. Kymco did not provide much detail about the Many EV’s specifications, but based on its name, we assume it will perform similarly to the Kymco Many 125 gas-powered scooter.
2018 Kymco Xtown 300i ABS Review – First Ride
Fri, 09 Jun 2017Cross town for less Credit: Photos by Michael Spain-Smith With a scooter market of less than 30,000 units from major manufacturers a year*, the USA isn’t much of a thing for scooters, and medium-displacement scoots like Kymco’s new $3,999 Xtown are even less of a thing since Honda dropped its PCX 300 and Suzuki fired its Burgman 400. I got to ride the new Kymco Xtown 300i ABS last week, a scooter that replaces two similar-sized models in the Taiwanese company’s line and offers solid value to the scooter rider that wants comfort, convenience and freeway-friendly power. For 2018, Kymco also offers the bigger, faster – and $2,000 pricier – Xciting 400i, but has also dropped the Downtown 300i and People 300i from the line.
2018 Kymco Like 150i ABS Review
Mon, 05 Jun 2017Get your scoot on for less Scooters are big in European and other markets – around here, not so much. “Scooters and soccer,” Kymco PR rep Peter Jones tells us, “they’re just not a part of our culture.” Still, Kymco doggedly sticks to its guns, offering a full line of scooters where many OEMs have reduced or eliminated their scooter offerings. “The coolest person you know, that’s a scooter rider,” Jones goes on to say, and 54-year-old Taiwanese firm Kymco’s latest offering caters to the coolest of them.
2018 Kymco Xciting 400i Review - First Ride
Thu, 01 Jun 2017My fling with a thing Credit: Photos by Michael Spain-Smith We were snuggled into a conference room in the upscale Aloft hotel in Asheville, North Carolina, when PR man Peter Jones kicked off Kymco’s 2018 new-product launch by telling us that scooters in the U.S. market are “such a small thing, they’re not even really a thing… scooters and soccer, they’re just not a part of our culture.” But the lack of scooter culture has made Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco itself a thing. After staying doggedly in the American scooter market for the better part of two decades, Kymco has a coast-to-coast dealer network, a good reputation for reliability and value, and is basically the only purveyor of value-priced, high-performance maxi-scooters.
2018 Kymco Spade 150 Review – First Ride
Tue, 30 May 2017What's up, niches? Credit: Photos by Michael Spain-Smith Asheville, North Carolina has been the scene of several Kymco product launches, and why not? It’s an oddball little city deep in the heart of Dixie that boasts world-class food, fun and roads.
Battle Of The 125cc Ankle Biters, Part 2
Fri, 25 Nov 2016Now the real fun begins Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield | Videos by James Lee Martinec By now, we’ll assume you’ve read the Part 1 of the Ankle Biters test, wherein we asked some newer riders to ride the Honda Grom, Kawasaki Z125 Pro, Kymco K-Pipe 125, and SSR Motorsports Razkull 125. Their job was to give us feedback as to which bike makes the best learner for the absolute noob because it’s been awhile since any of the MO staff could call themselves one. Our riders had a lot of fun with the test, but as for us MOrons, we wanted a bit more excitement once we got a chance to throw a leg over the quartet.
Battle of the 125cc Ankle Biters, Part 1
Fri, 11 Nov 2016Honda Grom takes on the Kawasaki Z125, Kymco K-Pipe 125, and SSR Motorsports Razkull 125 Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield You can thank Honda for reigniting the mini bike craze with the release of the Honda Grom back in 2014. The little 125cc runabout is a refreshing throwback to the days you could grab your board, ride out to the ocean, hit the waves, then jet around town in search of the best carne asada burrito – while maybe sneaking into a skate park for a quick blast. In short, the Grom inspires fun rides at a slower pace.
