Kawasaki Vulcan description

Reduced Price! BEST OFFER! This VN2000 is like new, never been ridden in rain, and has 5,451 original miles. Quick release removable windshield and soft saddlebags . It was just serviced by HarleyDavidson 400mis ago. All black with silver pinstripe makes for an awesome looking ride. No disappointments here; this is a like new bike. Price new is over $16 ,000 If the awesome size, power and performance of the 2000 is appealing, but a more traditional cruiser look is your style, the 2000 Classic is the motorcycle you seek. A traditional-style headlamp, buckhorn handlebar bend, a plush passenger seat for increased comfort and other special information adorn the same brawny chassis and engine found on the 2000. Complementing its time-honored terrific looks, the 2000 Classic___s 2,053cc V-Twin features a 103 x 123.2mm bore and stroke, forged pistons, alloy-steel connecting rods, a huge 220mm flywheel, dual cams located within the one-piece crankcase and right-side pushrods actuating 4 valves per cylinder. The push rod design reduces the 125 cubic inch engine___s height, directly contributing to the 2000___s low center of gravity and relatively low seat height. Plus, hydraulic valve lash adjusters automatically maintain zero valve clearance for smoother, quieter operation. Matte black finished 2000___s cylinders provide a dramatic contrast to the polished cooling fins __ which manage the temperatures for the bottom three-quarters of the engine. The top quarter of the V-twin engine is liquid cooled. Additionally, the engine and transmission have built-in oil and water pumps, and the transmission serves as the oil tank. An electronic engine control unit ECU manages the fuel injection system with dual 46mm throttle bodies and sub throttle valves, combined with an iridium spark plug ignition system to provide sharp throttle response at any rpm. The sub-throttle valves and fine atomizing injectors help the 2000___s fuel injection provide a smooth, linear power band with increased power and optimum fuel economy. Cruiser enthusiasts will appreciate that classic V-twin rumble from the 2000___s dual polished mufflers, thanks to its single-pin crankshaft, while dual counter balancers and rubber engine mounts keep the vibrations at bay. The engine is utilized as a member of the ___s steel, double-cradle frame, which has a large-diameter, box-section single-tube backbone. A simple but elegant rear steel tube swing arm suspension with a direct-action single shock provides 3.9ins of travel, and includes spring preload and rebound adjustment. Up front, a large 49mm fork provides precise steering feedback and 5.9ins of travel. The 2000 Classic rolls on bright, cast aluminum 16-inch wheels with a 150 80 front radial tire and a wide, 200 60 rear radial tire. Dual 300mm front disc brakes with four-piston calipers and a single rear disc brake with two-piston caliper bring this big cruiser to smooth, powerful stops. Kawasaki Ninja Nights Revving Up for Laguna Seca SBK

Tue, 24 Jun 2014

With Tom Sykes and his Kawasaki Ninja ZX–10R holding a comfortable lead in his title defense of the World Superbike Championship and Loris Baz standing in third place aboard his ZX–10R, you might expect that Kawasaki would have some important plans for celebrating 30 years of Ninjas during the 2014 SBK season. And you’d be right. Following much of the same format as its successful Bike Nite in the Daylight Show, Team Green has joined forces with Two Brothers Racing to bring Kawasaki Ninja Nights 2014 to Laguna Seca on July 12th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.

Off-Road Motorcycle and Free-Ride Bicycle Compared

Thu, 11 Dec 2008

What if anything do bicycles and motorcycles have in common? Besides the whole two-wheel thing, it isn’t outright apparent that these two “handle-barred beasts” share more than ancient ancestry. Modern Off-road motorcycle and Free-ride bicycle designs side-by-side illustrate how much technology the two have in common.

2024 Kawasaki KLX300/KLX300SM Review – First Ride

Mon, 18 Dec 2023

A winning formula gets even more… winning-er Photos: Kevin Wing Kawasaki’s media guy Brad Puetz (pronounced like the actor, though this Brad is not nearly as good looking or famous) said something that stuck with me. “Between the Versys 650 and this, these are the two bikes journalists tend to buy most from us.” As a previous Versys 650 owner – purchased from MO’s former Editorial Director Sean Alexander, and then passed down after me to another former MO staffer Tom Roderick, we can certainly attest to the first part. 2024 Kawasaki KLX300/KLX300SM Kawasaki has an unexpected success with the KLX300 and KLX300SM, so instead of massive changes for what's essentially an entry-level motorcycle, Kawasaki decided to make it look better.
