Kawasaki Vulcan description

2013 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Nomad, TIME TO HIT THE OPEN ROAD ON THIS AWESOME MOTORCYCLE! - Classic Tourer, Modern Comfort The traditionally styled Vulcan 1700 Nomad fits right in with any classic bike, from one to eighty years old. However, just because it looks the part, doesn’t mean you have to settle for anything less than modern performance and reliability. For some it’s a full-blown touring bike, the large windshield, hard saddlebags, floorboards, backrest and standard cruise control help take the sting out of long days in the saddle. Strap a sleeping bag to the pillion, throw a leg over its low-slung seat and feel the Nomad’s powerful 1700 cc V-twin effortlessly inhale the miles while you decompress and watch the world scrolling past. With its mix of the latest technology and luxurious two-tone paint adding to its classic style, it’s a one-two punch of thrill.

2014 WSBK – Portimao Results

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.

Video: On-board lap of the NW200

Thu, 19 May 2011

Watch this video and marvel at the utter dedication and bravery required to ride the NW200 Triangle Circuit. This is shot from a 600 Supersport bike so the speeds are considerably lower than Stuart Easton clocked last year on his superbike. 204mph was his fastest trap-time in 2010.

The Best Racetrack You’ve Never Heard Of

Sat, 08 Nov 2008

Last week I had the opportunity to ride one of the best tracks in the world, but you’ve probably never heard of it. It’s called the Autopolis International Racing Course and is located in northern Kyushu, Japan, a 90-minute bus ride from the nearest city, Kumamoto. Autopolis is a wonderfully flowing, 2.9-mile track that rises and falls like a symphonic overture, with inclines that range up to 7.2% uphill, 10% downhill.
