Kawasaki Vulcan description
2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 800, LOTS OF BIKE FOR THE MONEY!!! - The motorcycle enthusiast interested in the cruiser lifestyle faces the daunting task of selecting a brand and model—which isnt an easy decision with so many to choose from. Fortunately, the Kawasaki Vulcan 800 makes the decision simple with its traditional styling, modern technology and affordable price. With standard features that include a stepped seat, raked-out front end, wire wheels and torquey V-twin engine, the Vulcan 800 can also be customized to suit any riders personality with Kawasakis extensive line of Fire & Steel accessories. The heart of the Vulcan 800 is a powerful 805cc V-twin engine, which benefits from years of Kawasaki technology. The motor incorporates liquid cooling for exceptional temperature control and engine longevity, but its radiator is hidden between the downtubes of the double-cradle frame, giving the bike a stylish air-cooled look. The overall result is an attractive, high-torque motor that makes loads of power and emits the distinctive exhaust note associated with a V-twin. Like the engine, the Vulcan 800s chassis is the beneficiary of high-tech design and is clothed in nostalgic cruiser garb. Kawasakis own UNI-TRAK rear suspension system is hidden away to give the triangulated steel swingarm a clean, hardtail appearance. But in actuality, the linkage system applies progressive damping and spring forces as the single shock is compressed to provide a smooth ride. Power reaches the chain-driven rear wheel through a five-speed transmission. The transmission, which features Kawasakis exclusive Positive Neutral Finder, allows the rider to easily shift from first gear to neutral when stopped. While stationary, the lever cant be raised into second gear, but as the motorcycle begins moving again the transmission resumes normal shifting. Fender to fender, this machine is the picture of fluidity.

Lady Moto Gymkhana: ‘You Ride Like A Girl’ – Video
Thu, 22 Mar 2012A time-tested putdown among boys and adult males is the “You throw like a girl” insult meant to highlight the targeted male’s inability to throw some object with the appropriate force needed to get the object moving and continuing along the correct trajectory. In other words, as the male of your species you should posses the innate ability to throw a ball, but instead you lob it overhand like a female that’s never thrown a pitch or a pass in her life. Of course, the action verb throw is replaceable with just about any action the insulter wishes.
You want a nice little car, you do.
Wed, 08 Sep 2010We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
Video: On-board lap of the NW200
Thu, 19 May 2011Watch this video and marvel at the utter dedication and bravery required to ride the NW200 Triangle Circuit. This is shot from a 600 Supersport bike so the speeds are considerably lower than Stuart Easton clocked last year on his superbike. 204mph was his fastest trap-time in 2010.
