1998 Muzzy Factory Formula Extreme Muzzy Raptor FUSA - Doug Chandler, Steve 1998 Muzzy Factory Formula Extreme Muzzy Raptor FUSA - Doug Chandler, Steve GriggsHere's it is, Kawasaki's Godzilla the RAPTOR!The ultimate Kawasaki ZX-7RR. Hand built by famed Kawasaki tuner Rob Muzzy and raced in the FUSA Series by AMA Superbike champion Doug Chandler. Chandler raced the Daytona FUSA on this machine and then it was turned over to AMA/WERA Pro racer Steve griggs who went on to destroy all the completion in the WERA unlimited class.This is a full on superbike. 835cc GEAR DRIVEN cams, Carillo Titanium rods, undercut KHI kit close ratio transmission, lightened crank, 41 mm Kehien flat slide carbs, 171 rwhp on VP MR10. When you fire it up up know there is something special going on in those engine cases. The turbo whine of those gear driven cams is truly awesome. KHI kit total loss wiring harness with optional 8hr Suzuka lighting kit turn night into day. A one off KHI kit tach, KIS quick shifter, KHI KIT high rev ignition box and hand built wiring harness finish off the electronics.On the suspension/handling side we have a Muzzy custom braced frame and swingarm with eccentric swing arm inserts. A GP spec Ohlins 46mm fork is held up by a massive MUZZY magnesium triple clamp. At the rear there is a GP spec Ohlins TTX attached to a custom Muzzy billet linage with ride height adjusters.For serious stopping power the brakes are GP spec AP 6 piston billets with AP superbike 330mm rotors all being fed by a GP spec 20mm Brembo master cylinder. Out back there is a tiny AP billet caliper clamping a light weight Brembo rotor. The bodywork is a mix of Muzzy and KHI 8hrs Suzuka Carbon and carbon/fiberglass. The Tank is a one off Muzzy Carbon fiber unit, extremely light weight and rare are rocking horse shit. All painted up in classic Muzzy black with the giant RAPTOR on the fairing lower ready to eat up the competition AGAIN! lower ready to eat up the competition AGAIN!Note that the Raptor 850 is now eligible for WERA V7 superbike racing. Being that Muzzy only made 5 of these superbikes I'm pretty sure you'll be the only racer out there with one! Go on I dare you. The bike comes with a clean title in Rob Muzzy's name. 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Recalled for ABS Modulator Issue
Thu, 25 Jul 2013As we expected, a manufacturing error for a Nissin anti-lock brake modulator has led to a recall in the U.S. for the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300. (UPDATE: Transport Canada has also issued a recall for 745 units, in addition to the 1,083 units recalled in the U.S.) Kawasaki had already issued a recall in Japan for ABS-equipped versions of the 2013 Ninja 250, so it was no surprise that the 300, which uses nearly all of the same parts, would fall victim to the recall as well.

Wed, 01 Feb 2012Kawasaki reported a net profit of 33.7 billion yen (US$441.9 million) for the nine months ended Dec. 31, 2011, but its motorcycle and engine division continues to operate at a loss. The motorcycle and engine division, which also includes ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft and power products, operated at a loss of 4.58 billion yen (US$60.1 million) over the first three quarters of Kawasaki‘s 2011-2012 fiscal year, including a loss of 2.2 billion yen (US$28.9 million) in the third quarter alone.
