Kawasaki Other description

1974 Kawasaki H1 500, starts with one kick; with new top end, it has 145 lbs. across all three cylinders, runs great and idles at 1,300 RPM, everything works, recent new rear and brand new front tire.  Also new: chain and sprockets, professional paint and relined inside fuel tank, chrome in excellent shape, with the grab rail having a few small pits, new ignition switch, 2 keys, new K & L air cleaner--original air cleaner is included), mirrors, H1 maintenance manual, fuel tank filler gasket, etc.. Mostly original (original metal air filter box and airfilter, turn signals, seat, controls, etc.). Although the odometer reads 19,110 miles these numbers are quite high and incorrect as the odometer was replaced.* Between 5-10K miles, maybe less, especially considering I have the original front tire and airfilter to it, and and both are still useable.  I would consider this bike a extremely nice, collectible, no rust working example of the H1.

Although it is not quite museum quality it definitely has the potential to be so. Also can use as daily rider.

I can deliver between Maine and southern New England for a reasonable fee (under $200).

Happy to answer any questions ; send e-mail or phone # and I'll call you.

Thanks for your interest!

Brammo Earns Seventh Place Against Gas Bikes

Mon, 06 May 2013

This past weekend, Brammo arrived to Sonoma Raceway in Central California ready to do battle. Only this time the electric sportbike manufacturer would be trading blows not with other electric bikes, but with their ICE counterparts at the second round of the American Federation of Motorcyclists series — one of the oldest club racing organizations in the country. We recently mentioned Brammo’s eligibility with AFM, and this weekend was the first outing. Team Icon Brammo and its two riders Eric Bostrom and Steve Atlas competed on the Empulse RR machines while third rider, Shelina Moreda, rode the Team Parker Brammo Empulse TTX — a modified version of the road-legal Empulse.

Speed and Fuel TV to Broadcast Kawasaki’s Zero to Hero Challenge Starting This Week

Tue, 14 Aug 2012

Early this year, thousands of drag racers chased the dream and entered Kawasaki’s nationally-promoted “Zero to Hero Challenge,” hoping for the opportunity to face-off against multi-time champion Rickey Gadson and take home a new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R. Beginning this week, Speed and Fuel TV will broadcast the Zero to Hero Challenge across several time slots. Both cable networks will treat viewers to an inside look at the process all contestants went through on their way to challenging Gadson on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway drag strip in May.

Villopoto to Miss 2012 AMA Motocross Season

Tue, 24 Apr 2012

Reigning champion Ryan Villopoto will not compete in the 2012 AMA Motocross Championship after injuring his knee at the recent Supercross race in Seattle, Wash. Villopoto has won the last three indoor and outdoor championships, capturing the 2011 AMA Motocross title as well as the 2011 and 2012 AMA Supercross titles. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider will not be able to stretch that run into a fourth consecutive title.
