Kawasaki Other description

Here is probably one of the nicest KZ1000's around.  As you can see by the pictures it is in extremely nice condition.    The few minor defects it has are as follows: slight stain on the left side of gas tank (see picture), one very minor dent on the top of the tank (see picture),the tail fin has one small scratch, there is some slight surface rust on the bottom of the pipes but there are no holes.  Comes complete with owner's manual, warranty card, and a complete tool kit including the feeler guage.  This bike starts and runs fine, shifts through all the gears smoothly, and all the electrical functions properly.  Both brakes work fine. Still has the original tires.  If you have any questions please feel free to call me.

Kawasaki Recalls Concours 14 for Rear Brake Problem A Previous Recall Failed to Fix

Fri, 27 Jul 2012

Kawasaki is issuing a recall for the Concours 14 for a rear brake pedal issue the company had previously tried to fix in 2008. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, road debris can get trapped between the brake pedal and a pedal guard, causing slight pressure on the rear brakes. The rear brake drag can cause the brakes to overheat, potentially leading to brake damage, a rear brake lockup or failure of the rear brakes.
