Kawasaki Other description

Selling a 2001 Kawasaki Concours 1000 in good condition. I purchased this bike last year from a doctor. I am the third owner of this bike. The tires are in very good condition with plenty of tread left. It has one small scratch and one small dent on the tank both of which could be covered with the bra it comes with. It comes with a tarp and bungee cords to secure it. It does have some rust on pipes and other small spots all of which I have tried to take pictures to show as accurately as possible. I have ridden the bike mostly to work and back. Im am forty years old and an engineer. This bike has not been abused. I also own a Harley and don't have much time to ride both. It has 14,211 miles on it. I just had the carbs cleaned and sinked up.This bike runs very well and is pretty quick. Any questions regarding anything I may have missed feel free to call 361-461-1322. This bike is also for sale locally so we reserve the right to end auction early. Pick up only. I have clear title in hand. Payment must be cash or paypal with a $500 dollar deposit within 48 hours of auction ending.

Old Dog, New Tricks: Tackling The LA-Barstow To Vegas Dual-Sport Ride

Mon, 05 Dec 2022

Joining the 39th running of the famed event on a Ducati DesertX and a Kawasaki KLX300 Credit: Photos by Cait Maher, Evans Brasfield, Grumpy, and Ryan Adams Let’s be honest, dual-sport motorcycles aren’t really designed for touring, despite my best efforts ( here and here). The bikes are merely street-legal dirt bikes without much accommodation for creature comfort. So, spending 220-ish miles flat in the saddle from Las Vegas, NV to Palmdale, CA, mostly on Interstate 15, is a platform for cataloging discomforts, and after riding approximately 360 miles, mostly off road over the two previous days, my aches-and-pains were legion.

WSBK 2013: Magny-Cours Race Report

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

Tom Sykes snapped up a pair of wins at Magny-Cours, setting himself up in good position to capture his first World Superbike Championship at the season finale in Jerez in two weeks. The Kawasaki rider scored his series-leading eight and ninth victories of the season, giving him a commanding 37-point cushion over Eugene Laverty and 38 points ahead of Sylvain Guintoli. Sykes needs only score at least 13 points in total over the final two races at Jerez to secure the championship.
