The Versys has a 649cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with digital fuel injection (DFI), a long-travel fork, Adjustable single-shock rear suspension, and aluminum swingarm and 17-inch cast aluminum wheels.
It borrows design elements from dual-purpose bikes, standards, adventure-tourers and sportbikes; sharing characteristics of all, but not neatly fitting into any of the above mentioned categorys
