Single-Cylinder 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 250SL/RR Mono Revealed

Kawasaki revealed a new 250cc Ninja for the Asian market featuring a single-cylinder engine. Called the Kawasaki Ninja RR Mono or 250SL (depending on the market), the single-cylinder model offers a bit less power and more torque than the parallel-Twin Ninja 250 but weighs 46 pounds lighter. We first saw spy photos of the new mini-Ninja undergoing testing late last year, but now we can see the finished product.

ECUnleased Performance Reflash Available For 2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

ECUnleashed now has a ECU performance reflash for 2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R models. If you aren’t familiar with ECU reflash tuning, specifically the ones offered by ECUnleashed, they provide more power by eliminating factory restrictions, optimizing fuel, ignition and throttle mapping, increasing rev limit, and removing the top speed limiter. It also delivers better response and control through eliminating the factory fuel cut off and optimizing the off throttle deceleration mapping.

These two beautiful Z1R Kawasakis appeared at the annual Mooneyes Yokohama Custom show last weekend. With one sporting a street/strip look (spot the belly-scraping ride height and rigid rear struts) and the other undergoing a sort of modernisation, they both reminded me just how handsome and unique the original slab-sided Z1R was.  Judging by some of the other wild and weird exhibits I made a mental note to myself: must make sure I'm in Japan this time next year.
