Kawasaki Other description

2008 Kawasaki Z 1000. It is more than youd expect of a Z1K. It is a hoot to ride! Purchased from the local multi-brand dealer, there is a clear title and in my possession. It has never been down, nor ridden in the rain. This Z1K has been stored in a spacious garage since the day it came home in August of 2008. Also, it has never been on or close to a track, and I dont do burn-outs or that stunt stuff - can't. Too old! What mods you cannot see from the pictures are the K&N air filter Race Tech fork compression and rebound valves, and springs (pictures available for verification) Mupo custom performance shock with compression, rebound, and high-speed compression adjustability ($1,050) from Power Bronze rear hugger Rizoma bars and Renthal bar clamps for the street-fighter look, orange chain 42t JT Racing rear sprocket. Carbon fiber(ish) seat cover. Steel braided brake lines installed in the front (rear is still bagged) 3M clear bra on headlight, OEM windscreen, and tank Grab-on grip sleeves. Puig shield. Difficult to really tell, the orange is the Kawasaki candy burnt orange. Pirelli Diablo front and Dunlop RoadSmart out back. All the removed OEM parts are wrapped in boxes such as the bars, bar ends, radiator fairing (white), front brake lines, rear shock, low-mile chain, and rear sprocket.

Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Affects Honda CTX700, Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki Ninja 250R and Possibly More

Wed, 17 Jul 2013

Last week, we wrote about a recall in Canada for the ABS system on the 2014 Honda CTX700N and the CTX700T (known everywhere else as simply the CTX700), affecting 13 units north of the border. We can now confirm that the recall also affects U.S. models as well as models from other manufacturers using the same components from Nissin.

2023 Kawasaki KX450SR Special Racer - First Look

Tue, 04 Oct 2022

Showa me the money I was all Pavlov dogging when I read that the KX450SR “features elite-level racing components, special tuning and design elements inspired by the Monster Energy Kawasaki race team,” only to suffer slight cotton mouth when I learned that consists of nothing more than new SHOWA suspension components front and rear. I mean, obviously great suspension is critical to motorcycles that leap 40 feet into the air, but I felt like I was led to believe there’d be more. In fact, the rest of the 2022 package was already so blinged out, there wasn’t much more Kawasaki could add.

Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.
