With its distinctive paint schemes, bridged-aluminum alloy swingarm and four-into-one exhaust, the hugely popular, well-acclaimed ZRX1200R calls to mind the KZ1100 Eddie Lawson Replica from Kawasaki's early racing years. The ZRX1200R's torque-happy engine is based on the mighty Kawasaki NINJA ZX-11 powerplant. Horsepower distinguishes the ZRX1200R from the rest of the unfaired pack, and its engine is tuned with emphasis on low and midrange rpm performance. Mon, 28 Jan 2013Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto dominated the 450SX Class on Saturday night in front of a record crowd in Oakland, CA. In front of a record crowd of 46,896, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto raced to his second-consecutive AMA Supercross victory, an FIM World Championship, 450SX Class Main Event win at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, CA on Saturday night. Rockstar Energy Racing’s Davi Millsaps finished in second, and Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey followed in third.
Isle of Man TT 2012: Lightweight TT Results
Mon, 11 Jun 2012Ryan Farquhar earned his third ever Isle of Man TT win in the return of the Lightweight TT class. Absent since the 2009 Isle of Man TT with 250cc machines, the 2012 iteration of the Lightweight class features 650cc twins such as the Kawasaki Ninja 650 (or ER-6F, as it’s known on that side of the Pond) which most competitors rode. The race was moved back to Saturday, June 9, after rain forced organizers to cancel the initially-scheduled Friday race.
