I have a 1981 Kawasaki CSR 250 that ran when I 1st got it 3 yrs ago. I have another bike that I use so this 1 took the back seat. I was going to just keep it and use it as an educational project but I really don't have a use for it. It'll need some TLC as there's some surface rust here and there, there's no battery and it needs a throttle grip. Definitely going to have to clean the carbs. Basically it's a nice winter project or sell it for parts, I don't want to go through that trouble. I have a clear title in my name so show up with some cash and get it out of my backyard! Mon, 23 Jul 2012Marco Melandri bit a chunk off of Max Biaggi‘s World Superbike championship points lead by taking a pair of wins at Brno. The double was the first in Melandri’s career and the first for BMW. Biaggi, who arrived in the Czech Republic with four wins and nine podium finishes in ten previous races at Brno, was held off the podium this year, shrinking his lead in the championship to 21 points from 48.
Update: Bike Stolen On ‘Round The World Adventure Recovered!
Wed, 22 Jan 2014Martin Williams, the man who had his motorcycle stolen halfway through his trip around the world, has been reunited with his Kawasaki. A man walking his dog one morning spotted the bike and reported it to authorities. Williams was obviously elated to get his bike back, but the thieves unfortunately had their way with it before it was recovered.
Andrea Antonelli Dies After Moscow World Supersport Crash
Sun, 21 Jul 2013Italian racer Andrea Antonelli succombed to injuries suffered in a crash during the World Supersport race at Moscow Raceway in Russia. The Go Eleven Kawasaki racer crashed on the final corner of the opening lap in very wet conditions, and was struck by Pata Honda racer Lorenzo Zanetti. The race was immediately red-flagged and Antonelli was taken away by ambulance while medical staff attempted to resuscitate him, but the 25-year-old was pronounced dead at 2:10 pm local time.
