1979 Kawasaki Other on 2040-motos
Kawasaki Other tech info
Kawasaki Other description
I've resuscitated a 1979 KZ400-B1 that spent the last 30 years in the original owner's garage. It's in beautiful, original, condition with 2,362 miles and all accessories, including engine guards, backrest & rack, and clear plastic windshield (not shown). Original tool kit, receipts and owners manual included. I installed a new battery, flushed the gearbox, unclogged and cleaned the carbs and replaced the intake hangers, gaskets and O-rings, I had the spokes tightened and wheels trued while replacing the tires. All rubber components are surprisingly pliable. Cleaning this bike up was like going back in time. She runs beautifully, too.
It's missing the air cleaner cap, a metal tray that covers the filter and hold the tool kit. It's P/N 11012-1004. The original owner probably took it off for increased air flow. Small ding in the gas tank. Otherwise, absolutely gorgeous. The bike is ready for sale. I'd like to get it in the hands of someone who has a personal attachment to the KZ family of bikes. I'm located in Lakewood, CO. Chris 303-570-3222 |

2022 Kawasaki Z650RS Review - First Ride
Fri, 15 Apr 2022Retro-styling on a middleweight favorite. Credit: Photos by Kevin Wing “I’m not a fan of the Darth Vader looks.” It’s a line we hear often whenever we test one of Kawasaki’s sporty bikes, especially from the Z family of naked bikes. Internally known as the Sugomi design language, Kawasaki says “Someone, or something, possessing sugomi inspires awe, leaves an indelible impression, is daunting in stature or ability, and commands respect.” Maybe it does, or maybe it doesn’t, but angular lines and sharp creases also alienate a section of the motorcycling world who like the modern tech and power from Kawasaki’s Z line, but could do without the sugomi styling.
