  Up for auction is a 1979 KZ 650. I do NOT have a title. I had to put something in the title box or ebay wont let me list the bike. I do not have a key for this bike. The engine turns over. The bike has K&N style air filters, Kerker 4-into-1 exhaust w/no baffle. The bike also has a Kerker oil cooler. The odometer reads 27076. The front master cylinder is frozen. The left side cover is missing. This bike can be titled. The engine# is KZ650DE016443. Date of manufacture is 10/78. Bike is sold 'as-is' no warranty. I accept pay-pal or cash. The result is an entry-level cruiser with sportbike-derived power retailing for $6999 ($7399 with ABS). The fuel-injected engine is tuned for smooth power delivery, with revised camshaft profiles, intake funnel length, throttle body spacer and air intake for better low- and mid-range power delivery.

The TV show CHiPs was what first got me interested in motorcycles. A young boy when the late 70′s show made its debut on the air, I thought it was extremely cool to be on the California Highway Patrol, but especially so while riding around on a Kawasaki 1000. Erik Estrada even had a cool name and car on the show, going by ‘Ponch’ and driving a Firebird.
