Kawasaki Other description

I'm the 3rd owner for the past 20 years.
99% stock and original. Always garaged in San Jose California.
Original exhaust. Never had a header on it.
33,922  miles. Runs, starts & shifts great.
New Yuasa battery. Full carb service including synch, new float valves & seats, o-rings & gaskets.
Fresh and amazing paint job by Shiro's in Campbell Ca.
Correct decal set from Kawasaki. Color is spot on. Minor oops ( see pic ) on the tank which the seat covers up - can't even notice. Gas guage doesn't work consistently so I just use the trip meter.
New seat cover.
Includes 2 original keys with original dealer strap key chain. Complete tool kit & pouch.
Owner's book ( with the fold out wiring diagram still fixed to the back cover ) with original pouch.
Will need tires. I purchased these years ago and went slightly oversized as the stock ones are rather skinny by today's standards but the new owner can choose now. I cleaned it up a little but wanted to present it as is. With a proper detailing it will look even better.
I'm listing locally so I reserve the right to end this sale early. This is a strong original Z1R and I have never had any mechanical issues whatsoever. Took it to Alice's Restaurant in La Honda alot!
I'm not a collector and I hate to part with this bike but it's time to move on.
I will not ship for you but will assist as much as possible. Call 4oh89six66three59 with any questions.
Thanks for your interest!!

CHiPs Star Estrada is a Reserve Officer

Wed, 24 Dec 2008

The TV show CHiPs was what first got me interested in motorcycles. A young boy when the late 70′s show made its debut on the air, I thought it was extremely cool to be on the California Highway Patrol, but especially so while riding around on a Kawasaki 1000. Erik Estrada even had a cool name and car on the show, going by ‘Ponch’ and driving a Firebird.

2014 WSBK – Sepang Results

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

The first ever World Superbike round in Malaysia offered a plenty of drama including both factory Kawasaki riders crashing out on the first lap, a red flagged second race and an overall impressive outing by Aprilia. Under pressure for his lack of results so far this season, Marco Melandri impressed, earning the double for his first career wins on the RSV4 Factory. Aprilia riders led every lap in both races at Sepang, including the red-flagged initial start for Race 2, with Sylvain Guintoli joining his teammate on the podium with a pair of second-place finishes.

Kawasaki Producing 599cc 2013 Ninja ZX-6R for Japanese Racing Homologation

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

When Kawasaki announced it was upping the engine displacement for the Ninja ZX-6R to 636cc, the immediate question on many Team Green fans’ minds was what it would mean for the company’s supersport racing efforts. Kenan Sofuloglu won the 2012 World Supersport Championship on a Kawasaki ZX-6R, but under the regulations, he may not be allowed to defend his title next season on the 2013 model as homologation requirements in Supersport racing series limit Inline-Fours to displacements smaller than 600cc. Fear not however, as Kawasaki will be producing a special version of the ZX-6R with an engine displacement of 599cc, the same as the 2012 version.
