Kawasaki Other description

1976 Kawasaki KZ 900

Here we have a nice example of the Kawasaki KZ 900. The bike runs, rides, shifts and accelerates excellent. Starts easily and comes off choke quickly, shifts all 5 gears smoothly, clutch pulls easily, brakes all work well and brake light comes on when brakes are applied. There has been recent work done to the bike with receipts totaling close to $1,600 for parts and labor. Work - repairs as follows: New Battery installed, Carb kits and carb rebuild with syncro, front brake rebuild, New Points installed, Oil Change, New Spark Plugs, Tune up and Adjust Valves.

Bike has all original OEM parts except the seat and grab bar. Bike has a newer tire on the back but front should be replaced. The motor has NO broken fins, chrome is nice and shiny. Front fender has minor scratches and rear fender has pitting. Front wheel has pitting on the chrome but other than that is excellent. The Exhaust has rust holes on 3 pipes with the worst being the lower left. Gas tank has staining inside but I don't see any rust. Gas tank also has a small dent (see pic), has stock air box, manual tray, all electronics work, including the horn, turn signals, emergency flashers, high/low headlight beam, starter button, on/off switch, dash board lights, etc. Has matching numbers: frame Z1F-088995 (with white sticker dated 7-75) and engine number Z1E-090128. Gas tank paint is showing its age but still very nice. Tachometer and Speedometer both work. Seat is a very nice reproduction from Z1 Enterprises. Side covers are very nice with all tips intact, includes original key, frame has white sticker. Did I miss anything? Please ask any and all questions. Buyer is responsible for all shipping - delivery expenses.

This is your chance to own a piece of KAWASAKI History.

New 1972 Kawasaki Z1 only £720

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

Looking at the pictures of Japanese firm Yamato's new Kawasaki Z1 you'd be hard pushed to tell it's not the real thing. But in fact it's a scale model only just over a foot long, made with incredible attention to detail with several years of development to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original 900cc Z1 of 1972. Using 3D scanning of real parts, the bike was scaled down to create this model, which has now gone on sale in Japan at an eye-watering £720 apiece.

NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
