Classic Steve McQueen era Kawasaki F11 250 Enduro time capsule Vin # F1129880 w/ matching numbers. Starts right up and rides great. 2800 miles. Original paint. The bike has had one owner besides myself and I planned to fully restore it but never get to it. It was garage kept but here in the Northwest metal gets a little surface rust from the condensation as you can see in the pictures. The pictures pretty much say it all. Mechanically and structurally solid with no functional issues. The things that need attention are front tire has the start of some storage separation near rim but is safely ridable as is, speedometer cable is separated from hub (done by me oops), the air filter was misplaced, the turn signal electrical needs to be hooked up, air intake side trim piece missing. Thats about all I can see. Lots of torque, shifts nice, good balance and shock absorption. Good travel in forks. Have original title and original owners manual. Pick up or shipping the responsibility of buyer. Arrangements can be discussed. Payment must be received within 48 hours of auction end. The slip-on silencer requires no additional modifications: bolt on and go.Consistent power improvements throughout the rev range have been seen, with no adjustments to the fuelling, say Scorpion, with an average increase 3bhp.The new silencer has been acoustically developed to provide a greatly enhanced engine note. This means the bike will be as loud as the original in terms of a dB reading, but the exhaust note offers a deeper growl. However, removable baffles allow the rider to dramatically alter the tone of the exhaust by simply removing one bolt per silencer.
2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 Makes North American Debut in Canada
Wed, 11 Jan 2012As we’ve previously reported, the new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will not be imported to the U.S, but it will be available in North America in Canada as a 2012 model. Kawasaki Canada presented the Versys 1000 at its display at this past weekend’s North American International Motorcycle Supershow in Toronto, for the new “adventure sport” model’s debut on this side of the Atlantic. While he can’t speak for Kawasaki USA’s decision making, Bob Calwell, district manager for Kawasaki Canada, he does note that the Canadian company does have a history of making different product selections.
Pirelli To Remain Tire Supplier For All World Superbike Classes Through 2018
Wed, 10 Sep 2014Pirelli’s relationship with the World Superbike Championship started in 2004 and will carry on through 2018, as the Italian company will continue to supply tires for every class of the championship. What follows is the official Pirelli press release. Pirelli has been confirmed as the Official Tire Supplier for all classes of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship having won the tender organized by Dorna, promoter and organizer of the World Championship, in agreement with the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.
