Kawasaki Other description

197 Kawasaki H1 500 in beautiful condition with only 12, 60mis. This Kawasaki has all original paint and matching engine and frame numbers. The frame is H1F 040 and the engine is KAE 74072. The paint is very nice with a couple small chips in the tank and some scratches and rub marks in the tail section from an ill fitting rack that was on when I got it. The tank is clean inside with no rust and has never been coated. The chrome is nice and shiny and the exhaust is original with the correct markings, and is solid with no holes. The tires are in attractive shape with plenty of tread and no cracking. The carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned and the bike fires up on the 1st or 2nd kick. It runs well and shifts nicely through all the gears with no issues. Everything works including the headlamps, turn signals, indicator lamps, odometer, speedometer and brakes. I have the toolkit and a clean title. Original well preserved bikes like this 1 are getting hard to find, and will only rise in value.

Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.
