Kawasaki Ninja description

2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX -6R, The new 2013 Ninja ZX -6R marks the return of a middleweight sportbike legend, three numbers that strike fear into the heart of the competition: six...three...six. It is a tradition born of street cred and racetrack domination, a performance boost offered at the same price as the competition s regular six hundreds, and it s a machine that screams Performance Counts! The new ZX-6R honors a dominating family tradition started ten years ago with the first 636, a revolutionary machine that blew-away the competition s 600 s on the street and won races against factory 750 s on the track.

But in fact it's a scale model only just over a foot long, made with incredible attention to detail with several years of development to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original 900cc Z1 of 1972. Using 3D scanning of real parts, the bike was scaled down to create this model, which has now gone on sale in Japan at an eye-watering £720 apiece.

The electric three-wheeler is unlikely to enter full production, but it is nice to see some outrageous concept models again. The J Concept was primarily produced to showcase Kawasaki‘s GIGACELL high-capacity nickel-metal hydride battery technology, but the most dramatic feature is the concept’s ability to transform.
