2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. 2014 WSBK – Portimao Results

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.

2013 Kawasaki KX Motocross Bikes Revealed – Air Forks for KX450F!

Kawasaki has unveiled its 2013 KX series motocross bikes. Both models receive updates for 2013 but perhaps the biggest change is the new pneumatic fork on the KX450F. The KX450F has done well for Kawasaki, thanks to Ryan Villopoto’s 2011 and 2012 AMA Supercross and 2011 AMA Motocross championships.
