Kawasaki Ninja description

 - Great condition!
- Kawasaki Extended "Good TImes" Warranty. Doesn't expire until 4/29/2015 (unlimited miles)!
- Always kept in garage and covered when not being ridden.
- Michelin Pilot Power Tires and will throw in a brand new set of Dunlop Q3s (and will mount them for no extra charge)
- Swingarm spools
- Service Manual (paid $75 from dealer for this)
- 12v accessory plug (fused) and Garmin GPS mount (will remove if you do not want them)
- Foam slip on grip covers installed for more comfortable grip.
- Will also throw in a Targa Fender Eliminator (had installed for short time, $100 value)
- ~45 MPG. Great bike to answer high gas prices
- ~42,000 miles
- Valves just adjusted at 28,700 miles
- $3250 (reduced from $4400)

I hate to let this bike go because I love it. It still has over 1.5 years left on "The Good Times" warranty (expires 4/29/2015)! Have Dunlop Q3 tires in box that I will throw in and will mount them all at no extra charge. I will also throw in a Targa fender eliminator kit (I believe I paid around $100 for it and only had it installed for about a month and decided I liked it better with the stock fender and blinkers).

It's been kept in the garage throughout its life and even when I rode it to work it stayed in the garage at work. I also have the factory service manual (was around $75 extra) and the bike has been kept serviced according to the maintenance chart and polished after every ride. I also have a thumb operated cruise control on it but I can take that off if you don't want it. I also have swingarm spools installed for a swingarm stand. In fact I will throw in the pictured swingarm stand on the deal as well. I just don't have room in my garage for 3 Ninjas and 2 dirt bikes.

Recall for 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Mon, 25 Jul 2011

A recall has been issued on the 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R due to a problem with the wiring harness. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a portion of the wiring harness on some 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R models may get pinched between the subframe and the rear fender, or between the subframe and the bolt holding the seat cover. This may result in damage to the harness and wiring, potentially resulting in a short in the electrical system, which could cause the engine to suddenly stop.

Report: Dorna to Replace Superstock Classes with More Stock-Inspired WSBK and New 250cc Class

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

The coming World Superbike racing season may be the last to feature Superstock classes as series promoter Dorna tries to differentiate its WSBK and MotoGP properties. According to Italian outlet Motosprint, Dorna plans to rewrite the World Superbike and Supersport class rulebooks for the 2014 season to make the race bikes closer to their respective production models. This would create further separation between WSBK and MotoGP, with Superbike racing moving closer to its production-based roots while prototypes racing in the GP series.

Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.
