2009 Kawasaki Ninja 500R, AMAZING DEAL! - This one came in from one of our local customers, and it is priced to give you an amazing deal! This is currently set up in land speed trim and holds a handful of landspeed records! The engine that is currently installed is a built motor with head work, cams, etc, to get a little more out of the tried and true parallel twin. The stock motor was removed and prepped for storage with less than 200 miles on it, and it comes with the bike. You get 2 engines (the installed one is built and is a total loss system, the stock one is crated and prepped)! The lighting circuits are currently disconnected as it was set up for race duty. The handlebars were swapped for some adjustable units as well. All in all this would make a great beginner bike for someone who doesn't mind putting in a little bit of effort to prep it for the street. Replace the built motor for the stock one and sell the built one and get a big part of your money back! Kawasaki Issues Recall on Unauthorized Concours 14 Police Models
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Kawasaki announced a recall on 44 2012-2013 Concours 14 potentially faulty motorcycles allegedly converted for police use without the manufacturer’s consent. Back in early 2012, Kawasaki announced a recall on 278 2009-2012 Concours 14 police motorcycles because the add-on equipment installed by Idaho-based Beaudry Motors suffered electrical problems. According to the recall documents, the electrical system installed by Beaudry could overload the charging circuit between the regulator and the two batteries and eventually blow the main fuse.
