Kawasaki Ninja description

I have up for sale a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 650 with only 6498 miles on the odometer (I will put on a couple more before the auctions end)... I recently acquired this bike as is. It was laid down on the left side at low speed.  It needs an all new fairing set (not sure why almost every piece is missing, that's how I got it), the gas tank is dented but doesn't leak, the brake switch is missing a terminal for the connector, the generator cover on the left side is scuffed, the clutch lever is tweaked and there is road rash on the mirrors and some of the equipment on the handlebars... There is probably some other stuff I missed but that's the major stuff I noticed...Since I acquired the bike I replaced the handlebars (they're from a bike with 1700 miles on it, they're perfectly straight) and I had to have two keys made as well... ON THE PLUS SIDE THIS BIKE STARTS, RUNS, AND RIDES WELL!!! I have an Ohio Salvage Title in my name and in hand. By the way the salvage title is because it was abandoned, not because it was wrecked... I am trying to sell this cheap because it's the end of the season and I want to sell it as a winter project bike, because really all there is left are cosmetic things and you can customize this however you want as in order whatever combination of colors when you get the fairings and tank... I was quoted $350 on a black fairing set and I was going to try and repair the tank, if nothing else this will be a winter project for me, but I'd rather sell it as one! This is a steal for a low mileage 2008!...

Kawasaki Celebrates 40th Anniversary of Z1

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the ground-breaking Kawasaki Z1 which made its public debut in 1972, becoming what many would regard as the world’s first superbike. Kawasaki’s first large-capacity four-stroke multi-cylinder motorcycle took center stage at the 1972  IFMA, the precursor to the INTERMOT show in Cologne, Germany. Together with the Honda CB750, the Kawasaki Z1 helped spearhead the popularity of the Japanese Inline-Four.

New 1972 Kawasaki Z1 only £720

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

Looking at the pictures of Japanese firm Yamato's new Kawasaki Z1 you'd be hard pushed to tell it's not the real thing. But in fact it's a scale model only just over a foot long, made with incredible attention to detail with several years of development to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original 900cc Z1 of 1972. Using 3D scanning of real parts, the bike was scaled down to create this model, which has now gone on sale in Japan at an eye-watering £720 apiece.
