Kawasaki Ninja tech info
Kawasaki Ninja description
I found this bike, naked, lying in a shed where it had been resting for a couple of years. I had to rescue the machine, (it's what I do now that I'm retired!) but had no desire to keep it for a daily rider. I'm pretty old and tall(67 yrs and 6'4") so it is not the motorcycle for me! I did fix all the tiny problems, brake pedal, turn signals, lost key, etc. The big problem? Naked ! I purchased used fairing sections via E-Bay and made those repairs ( it was quite a puzzle) with proper bolts and those stupid little plastic fasteners! No zip ties!! I went ahead and licensed the bike and road tested enough to know it's fast and safe, but not a bike I will keep.... it's way too uncomfortable (my regular ride is a Harley or a KLR ) and way too fast ! Do some research for horsepower and top speed information. I will admit the "paint job" is terrible, but I didn't want to invest the $500-$600 for a new set of fairings or a professional paint job. There is an ugly dent on the left side tank that happened while the tank was off the machine, sorry no picture of that yet. Also, the mirrors in the picture will be replaced, they simply aren't safe, the new ones should arrive soon. If you want a "go fast" daily driver, this is your motorcycle for a great price. (check kbb.com) I will help with delivery if you're fairly close to Viola, Arkansas...perhaps meet you half way, if it's not too far. Thanks for looking, and , remember, dress to slide, not to ride! I'm working on an '81 Goldwing GL1100 now, that one I will keep! |

Off-Road Motorcycle and Free-Ride Bicycle Compared
Thu, 11 Dec 2008What if anything do bicycles and motorcycles have in common? Besides the whole two-wheel thing, it isn’t outright apparent that these two “handle-barred beasts” share more than ancient ancestry. Modern Off-road motorcycle and Free-ride bicycle designs side-by-side illustrate how much technology the two have in common.
Stuck for a gift? Solution No3: Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawasaki merchandise
Fri, 09 Dec 2011After the excesses of KTM and Harley's gifts ranges, Hondas seems tame. But even the sober Japanese firm has a handful of oddities in its line-up. The Japanese have been accused of imitating in the past, and Honda's incorporation of a baby's dummy in its official accessories catalogue mimics KTM's 'Silencer-System Mini Pro'.
Kawasaki World Debut At AIMExpo
Mon, 11 Aug 2014Kawasaki has chosen the 2014 American International Motorcycle Expo as the venue to make the world debut of a yet unannounced motorcycle model. The model launch will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, this October 16-19. “AIMExpo demonstrated last year that it can serve as the ideal platform for media and brand activities and Kawasaki will leverage this grand stage to reveal new products, as well as interact closely with dealers and consumers,” explains Kevin Allen, Kawasaki Manager, PR + Brand Experience. “We have some very exciting new product to share and AIMExpo is the perfect place to make these announcements.” Attendees will also witness the North American introduction of all-new vehicles in several categories from Kawasaki. Following the unveilings, all products will then be on full display for all to see inside Kawasaki’s booth (#2165) out on the AIMExpo show floor. “Kawasaki joins an expanding list of key companies that sees AIMExpo as the perfect means to infuse energy into the powersports business in North America,” says Larry Little, Vice President and General Manager, Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group.
