Kawasaki Ninja description

2006 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, For sale is a 2006 Kawasaki ZX-6R 636C, plasma blue, 11300 miles. One of the quickest bikes in the middleweight sportbike class. With the 636cc engine, it delivers more power and torque than most other smaller 600cc bikes. With the broader torque band, it is a joy to ride around town as you have power in every gear! I purchased it in 2008 and I have a clear title, in-hand. The bike is in great condition with no mechanical problems. Tires are original size Continental Attack and have good tread. There is no rust or unusual wear that I can find. I believe the seats are stock, but are the most comfortable sport bike seats Ive been on. A new Everstart battery was installed this season. Mods: Power Commander PCIII programmer (with the recommended tune for a yoshi Pipe and K&N filter) Yoshimura Stainless Steel Slip on (Custom shortened so that it doesnt stick out past the tail section. Its slightly louder than full length but much better looking). Gear position indicator by heal-tech. K&N Filter. Zero-G Smoked windscreen. Ketti carbon fiber look tank protector. Carbon fiber side panels, between the lower fairing and the tank, are aftermarket and real CF. Carbon fiber heel Guards. Rear amber/red LED tail light integrates turn signals. stock turn signals removed. Custom under seat tag mounting with LED lights. Front turn signals have been replaced with flush mounts. Headlights are both Silvaia Silver-star (huge improvement over standard). Pazzo Gold adjustable levers. Driven diamond grips, glued and safety wired. (much better grip over stock). Rear black nylon sliders/spools that also allow lifting the bike. Black nylon frame sliders. Gauge cluster LEDs replaced with cool-white and red tach and blue speedo (See pics, this looks way better than stock). Front shocks were professionally revalved for a 180 lb rider (per the previous owner). Ride height has been adjusted to be slightly lower than stock, I believe. Im 5-10 and my feet are flat on the ground when seated. Color matched passenger seat cowl (Stock passenger seat included) I am selling because I dont ride much anymore. I believe the bike is in great condition, though I would recommend you have a professional give it a once over, just to be safe. Payment is to be by cash or cashiers check (No Money orders or personal checks). Pickup near Wichita Kansas is preferred and a license plate will not be loaned. Due to the chance of theft or damage, test rides will not be given. If the bike is to be shipped, buyer is responsible for arrangements, crating, and costs. I will deliver the bike to the Wichita area shipping company. payment is due before shipment. Bike is listed locally and on other sites so the add may end early. Please ask any questions, Thanks for looking, you won't be disappointed! $5,000.00 3162588526

Do WSB bikes need fake headlights?

Mon, 02 Jul 2012

Next year's WSB bikes must carry fake headlight stickers to make them look like their road-going equivalents – and Kawasaki previewed the new look at yesterday's race at Aragon. The idea is to add to WSB's road bike links and to further distinguish the bikes from the latest breed of CRT MotoGP machines. However, it means adding meaningless stickers on a large and potentially valuable acreage of prime sponsorship space on the bike's nose, with much of the rest already taken up by the rider's number; not necessarily a good thing when money is already hard to find in international racing.

Kawasaki announced it will enter a factory-backed EVO-category entry for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. Kawasaki has signed David Salom to ride the EVO Ninja ZX-10R. The team will be run by the same operation behind the non-EVO factory team of Loris Baz and reigning WSBK Champion Tom Sykes, forming a three-rider Kawasaki factory lineup.

2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Ninja 650 and Versys Pegged for Recall

Wed, 07 Mar 2012

Kawasaki is issuing a recall for certain 2012 Ninja 250R and Ninja 650 sportbikes as well as the Versys 650 due to a risk of the passenger footpegs falling off. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the circlips on the footpegs’ mounting pins may break under engine vibrations, potentially leading the footpegs to detach. This poses a potential danger to the passenger.
