Kawasaki Ninja description
1987
I am the original owner.
I picked it up from Kawasaki of R.I. on
25278.1 Miles
This bike is in very good cosmetic condition. Note the 'bra' is still on it; very popular during the 80s
Mechanically it needs:
- It will start but will only run on the choke.
- The fuel tank needs to be resealed.
- The front brakes are spongy.
- It started to overheat, which is why I stopped riding it.
I am sure it can be made street worthy again by someone with the time to put into it.
It is an antique this year and I am sure will be a great project for anyone who enjoys vintage bikes. I wish I has the time to put it back on the road myself, but there are too many projects on the table now and not enough room in the garage.
More pictures are available upon request. You ask for it, I will take it and e-mail it to you right from my phone. Videos too.

WSBK 2013: Phillip Island Race Report
Mon, 25 Feb 2013Max Biaggi who? The Roman Emperor’s retirement after winning the 2012 World Superbike Championship marked the end of an era for Aprilia, with the 2013 campaign marking the first without Biaggi since the Italian manufacturer came back to the WSBK scene with the RSV4. If Aprilia misses its two-time WSBK Champion, it sure didn’t show it with a dominating display at the 2013 season opener in Australia.
Laguna Seca Superbike race: 1979
Tue, 09 Nov 2010Got to apologise for the mogadon-inspired soundtrack but this 1979 Kawasaki promo vid' is worth watching just for the footage of Freddie Spencer and Wes Cooley. Watch the slo-mo of Cooley's GS1000 Suzuki on the brakes. It's horrendous.
