Original Owner, All Original 1981 Kawasaki KZ550 LTD, with 6631 ORIGINAL MILES. The Bike starts and runs very well. It was in storage unused for over 10 years until I took it out this spring, and began to clean it up and restore it. The tank has been cleaned and lined, the fuel lines have been cleaned and purged, new plugs were installed, oil changed, and a new battery was installed. The bike starts right up, and runs well. If I had the time, I would repaint the tank, and put a new master cylinder on the bike, and it would be good for any trip, and many years to come. This bike is a classic, and is one of the original 4 stroke, (4 cylinder), bikes to be introduced into the mid sized, production market, and was ahead of it's time when introduced. It's still very much a classic, and looks it. The seat is in great condition, with no tears, or issues. I've included a close up of the tank that shows the rust coming through the paint, which is why I would suggest repainting the tank. Again, the interior of the tank was lined a few months ago to ensure the integrity of the tank and fuel lines. The Engine # is KZ550AE019571. Displacement is 553cc. 53HP at 8500 rpm. 2014 AMA Supercross – Oakland Results
Mon, 27 Jan 2014With three different racers tasting victory in the first three rounds of the 2014 AMA Supercross Championship, the season was shaping up to be one of the deepest and most competitive fields we’ve seen. But at Round Four at O.o Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., Ryan Villopoto showed why he remains the top dog, leading each lap for his second win of the season. The Kawasaki rider only trailed at the very start of the race, as Honda rider Vince Friese took the holeshot with Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton slotting in second through the first corner.
Isle of Man TT 2012: Superstock TT Results
Mon, 04 Jun 2012John McGuinness put another notch in his belt, capturing his 19th career victory in the Isle of Man TT by winning the Royal London 360 Superstock TT race. Despite leading all active racers in TT wins, the Superstock victory was just the first in that category for McGuinness. The Honda rider led from start to finish in the four-lap Superstock TT race.
WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
