1982 Kawasaki KZ-1100R Spectre

I am selling our 1982 Kawasaki KZ-1100R, 1100cc 4-cylinder/ 5 speed gear box w/ ONLY 19k miles!! The bike comes with a clean PA title, runs + rides EXACTLY as it was intended too w/ GREAT power and smooth shifts. The bike starts right up every time, idles smoothly, runs @ a good temperature and even on cold starts, the choke is barely needed. The bike could be bought with the intentions of immediately riding it or as an awesome start to a cafe racer project or even for an awesome parts bike! The bike has the gold  19" aluminum front wheel, matching gold 16" rear aluminum wheel, dual Kawasaki exhaust, rear air shocks w/ shrader valve to adjust, engine crash cage/bars, passenger pegs, dual front calipers, single rear caliper, New spark plugs, newer spark plug wires and a brand-new battery . All of the wiring on the bike is in good condition, all of the gauges work and all of the lights work. There is a lot that could be done with this bike and it will not disappoint!!

Known issues:

Rear brake line is leaking

Gas tank was spray-painted black

Paint on the entire bike is less than perfect

Tires are old and dry rotted ( they hold air and I rode on them w/ no issues)

The Kawasaki is located in Hatboro PA 19040 if anyone is interested in viewing the bike before bidding. My name is Spencer 215-802-5765 feel free to call with any further questions or to set up a time to view the bike in person!!

Thank You For Looking, Good Luck Bidding

 God Bless!!

A Weighty Issue

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.

Josh Hayes Wins Fourth AMA Superbike Title

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

Say what you will about the depleted state of the American roadracing scene, it shouldn’t diminish the fact Hayes put in the effort and beat some formidable challengers to the title. Here, the AMA congratulates Josh Hayes on his accomplishment. Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Josh Hayes entered the 2013 AMA Pro SuperBike season on the heels of the most dominant campaign in the history of the series and with his primary threat no longer in the paddock.

Jeremy Toye To Compete In 2014 Pikes Peak Hill Climb Aboard Kawasaki ZX-10R

Wed, 28 May 2014

Jeremy Toye from San Diego, California is no rookie to professional road racing. His accomplishments include setting the fastest lap for a newcomer at the Isle of Man TT in 2006, a third place at the Macau GP, and multiple top-five finishes in AMA Pro Racing competition. Race veteran Toye will compete in the Open Class Division on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, which will be modified to meet the extreme demands of racing a 12.42-mile course ending at the mountain-top finish.
